Homemade Face Wash

Ingredients:076 DIY FRIDAY

• 1 cup coconut oil
• 1 tbsp baking soda
• 5 drops dōTERRA Lavender essential oil
• 7 drops dōTERRA Frankincense essential oil
• 5 drops dōTERRA Lemon essential oil
• Glass Jar

 

Method:

1. Melt the coconut oil in a pan over low heat.
2. Once melted, remove from heat and add in the baking soda and essential oils.
3. Store in wash dispenser or air tight jar and keep it in a cool place.

Broccoli, Prosciutto & Kale Muffins

Ingredients083 dōTERRA DELICIOUS

  • 600g Broccoli trimmed and cut into florets
  • 375g self-raising flour
  • 100g thinly sliced prosciutto, torn into pieces
  • 50g grated mozzarella
  • 2 cups torn kale leaves
  • 125ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 250ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Sea salt and cracked black pepper
  • 1 drop of dōTERRA Thyme essential oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180c.
  2. Cook broccoli in a saucepan of salted boiling water until soft
  3. Drain and mash with a potato masher or a fork.
  4. Combine flour, broccoli, prosciutto, mozzarella, kale, olive oil, milk, eggs, thyme essential oil, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Divide the mixture into lightly greased muffin tins and cook until cooked through, roughly 25 minutes
  6. Allow to cool before serving.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon Fractionated Coconut Oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
  • 2 teaspoons dōTERRA Salon Essentials® Smoothing Conditioner
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 drops dōTERRA Clary Sage oil
  • 5 drops dōTERRA Geranium oil


Directions:

  1. Pour half of water into small glass spray bottle.
  2. Add Fractionated Coconut Oil, sweet almond oil, conditioner, and essential oils into bottle.
  3. Add remaining water and shake well.
  4. To use, apply one spritz to hair and work it through until hair is lightly coated. Style as normal.

Charred Broccoli & Brussel Sprout Salad

Ingredients082 dōTERRA DELICIOUS

  • 70g quinoa
  • 160ml water
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon rind
  • 500g broccoli
  • 350g Brussel sprouts, halved
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 60ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 250g haloumi, chopped
  • 2 cups of spinach

Dressing

  • 3 drops dōTERRA Lemon essential oil
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Method

  1. Place quinoa, lemon rind and water in a saucepan and bring to the boil
  2. Cook covered on a low heat for 15 minutes
  3. Preheat the grill and place the broccoli, Brussel sprouts, garlic, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of olive oil on a large tray and toss to combine.
  4. Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning once, or until charred.
  5. Place the haloumi on a second tray and toss with the remaining olive oil.
  6. Cook for 6-8 minutes turning halfway, or until golden
  7. Place the cooked quiona, Brussel sprouts, broccoli, haloumi and spinach in a large bowl.

Combine the Lemon essential oil, olive oil, honey and a small pinch of pepper and pour over salad.

Citrus Glass Cleaner

Ingredients:074 DIY FRIDAY

  • 500 mL spray bottle
  • 1 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup distilled water
  • 8 drops of any dōTERRA citrus oil of your choice (could use Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Wild Orange, or a combination)

 

Directions:

Add vinegar, water, and essential oil(s) to spray bottle and shake. You are ready to clean!

Garlic & Thyme Potato Stack

  • 8 Red Royale potatoes
  • 50g melted butter
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 drops dōTERRA Thyme essential oil
  • ½ cup chicken stock

 

Method

  1. Slice potatoes very thinly and mix with melted butter, garlic and Thyme essential oil in a bowl.
  2. Arrange potato slices upright in a shallow dish. Pour chicken stock down the sides of the dish.
  3. Roast at 180c for 40 mins or until potato is golden brown and tender.

dōTERRA DIY Friday // Soft Scrub Cleanser

Ingredients:073 DIY FRIDAY
  • 3/4 rounded cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup liquid castile soap
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 5-10 drops dōTERRA Lemon essential oil
 
Editor’s note: Liquid castile soap is a vegetable-based soap commonly found in health food stores. Look for unscented. This scrub is also great to use to help clean your kitchen sink, refrigerator, or tile floors.
 
Directions:
  1. In bowl, combine baking soda and castile soap.
  2. Add water and stir.
  3. Add vinegar and essential oil. The consistency should be a soft paste.
  4. Store in airtight container.
  5. Add ingredients directly to partially drained bowl. As it reacts, scrub toilet. 
Note: This combination is intended for one use at a time.

dōTERRA Delicious // Warm Butter Bean Salad with Lemon Butter

Ingredients080 dōTERRA DELICIOUS

  • 250g green beans, trimmed
  • 250g yellow beans, trimmed
  • 4-6 drops dōTERRA Lemon essential oil to taste
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 2 red eschalots
  • 4 anchovy fillets, drained and finely chopped
  • 400g can butter beans, rinsed and drained

 

Method

  1. Fill a saucepan with water and bring to the boil. Add green & yellow beans and cook for 2-3 minutes or until tender.
  2. Drain and place in iced water, then drain and set aside.
  3. Combine the Lemon essential oil, butter, eschalots and anchovies in a frypan over medium heat.
  4. Bring to a simmer and add the butter beans and blanched beans and cook, stirring for 1-2 minutes or until beans are coated and warmed.
  5. Season, then serve on a nice platter.

dōTERRA DIY Friday // Patchouli Mouth Rinse

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 drops dōTERRA Peppermint essential oil
  • 1 drop dōTERRAPatchouli essential oil

 

Directions:

  1. Combine baking soda and water in a small container (easy to drink out of), then add Peppermint and Patchouli essential oils. Mix well and swish in mouth for 1 minute. Spit and you’re done!

dōTERRA Delicious // Carrot, Feta & Cauliflower Pizza

Ingredients079 dōTERRA DELICIOUS

  • 1kg cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 egg
  • 60g shredded tasty cheese
  • 1 1/2 Tbs tomato paste
  • 200g dutch carrots, trimmed, peeled and quartered length ways
  • 1 red onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 long green chilli, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 drops dōTERRA Thyme essential oil
  • 100g crumbled feta

 

Method

  1. Place the cauliflower in a food processor and process until very finely chopped. Transfer to a microwave safe bowl. Cover and cook on high for 8 minutes or until tender.
  2. Drain in a fine sieve, pressing with the back of a spoon to squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Place cauliflower in a large bowl and set aside for 15 mins to cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 220c. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. .
  4. Add the egg and cheese to the cauliflower and stir to combine. Season. Spread the mixture on the tray and make an oval shape. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
  5. Spread the tomato paste evenly over the pizza base. Top with carrot, onion, chili, feta and Thyme essential oil.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until carrot is tender and feta is golden.
